I've kind of gone on a different direction with my travel. I used to always bring a carry-on roller suitcase and an over the shoulder bag as a personal item, and a checked bag for longer trips. What I've found is that I *hate* having to lug around a bag in airports. I really hate competing for overhead bin space. Now, I always check a bag and that way I don't have to sweat what I'm bringing with me, and I carry a small backpack as a personal item with (rarely) valuables, an iPad, headphones, a pen, medications, power bank, charging adaptor for the country I'm going to, car mount for my phone in case the rental doesn't have Android Auto or navigation, one change of clothes, and a few basic toiletries. I just accept the risk around the checked bag, since basic survival is handled and I can change my clothes once.

It looks like your channel and those like it have become the problem. I'm happy to see these things being enforced so I don't have to wait half an hour for fools to pull all their junk out of the overhead bins, knocking others in the head with the 50 pound sack of Disney souvenirs. I miss the days when people didn't look for cheats/hacks/annoyances when flying. I'm happy the airlines are getting strict with consumers like this.

We do both - socks and scarvers and underwear into the nooks in the bottom, to level out the bottom of the suitcase, then packing cubes on top.

Thank you so much for this video.👏 So, I hope, AF (Delta) will allow my pillow (filled with bulky woolen cardigan) next flight, bc my 😊 "undersized" 20" carry-on suitcase is just 15,5 lbs and personal item 5 lbs (but short time frame within one ticket to US + domestic; normally I can check in luggage for free - flying status). Anyway, I will try. And if not, I've still another personal loophole, which I normally use very very seldom > my two full knee protheses (pass to show always with me, bc of tsa screening beeps). So, on long flights, I use pillow also for supporting my thigh back to comfort knees. I think, airlines meanwhile realized that people fill in stuff in neckholders/pillows, but what difference does it make regarding loading overhead compartments, when people use neckholder/pillow or even a blanket over their shoulders. Meanwhile it's frustrating.

World traveler here, I have never passed gas on a flight. ✈️

I bought a small camping clothesline with me and always have it along when traveling. Even if I don't do laundry it helps to air out clothes for another day of wear and gives more options to hang up clothes if the closet is small.

The picopresso is miles ahead, provided you can get properly finely ground coffee or grind fresh with a manual hand grinder. One is a fake crema with a double wall basket and the other is a cafe quality single wall 52mm basket. (nice ad for Outin though) lol

Don't know if I'll use a plane. But if I do, I'll bring a replaceable book, glasses, ear plugs, a couple masks to avoid, what someone injected, a new phone with nothing personal on it, ID, One credit card for needs on the other end, hydrate to avoid their food and drinks. I carry a wide mouth thermos rather than a water bottle. You can use it for cold water, coffee or even mixing up instant soup or instant oatmeal. The flight attendants will be able to give you hot water.

Instead of buying a seat back pouch organizer, just put all of your items needed during the flight into two ziplock bags one inside the other. Just leave or throw away the ziplock bag that touched the seat back pocket.

Love TripIt the best. Been using it for 10 years now. Over that time there have been improvements and all for free. Also, love reminiscing on past journeys.

Here is what I do to bypass the TSA search madness. I just simply travel with one simple backpack that has my essentials (such as passport, id, laptop, chargers, headphone ear buds, wall adapter if traveling to Europe and two sets of pants and shirts, towel and phone). That's it. Then when I arrive in the country I'm traveling to I buy clothes, soap, shaver and shampoo there. At the end of the trip I give away what I bought to a local homeless donation center after washing the clothes and throw away any leftover shampoo and soap. Then, I travel back home with the single back pack that have the same items and I never buy any souvenirs. I just take video and pictures of my travels. Also, I make sure to not have any metal on my waist belt, clothes and shoes. I don't wear jewelry.

Another winner-app that not many people might not know about is Immersive Translate. It’s another must-have travel app that I don’t regret downloading before I went on my trip to Cancun last October. It was super useful when it came time to translate anything. Wouldn’t leave home without it!

Samsung phones have Samsung Pass, you log in on any website with your finger or face. They also have a mode to avoid " juice-jacking" when charging. ;-)

In Europe we are used to stright small dimension and low weight carry-on regulations Samsonite Europe offer two soft-sided 4-spinner carry-on´s under 4 lbs. ;-)

the existance of TSA PreCheck and CLEAR just prove airport security is a scam. You dont need to be groped if $78 dollars and ID cards get you around it

TSA is worthless.

I could be wrong, but almost seems like you work for the airline industry. "Know the luggage rules." All this luggage nonsense is such a crock. I don't know why everyone's not jumping up and down and rebelling. I'm 68 and remember when flying was actually enjoyable -- leg room, meals, blankets, staff welcomed you rather than scolded you, some planes even had a "lounge" area, No TSA, and family and friends could see you off at the gate!!! Boy, now I sound old.

So, some are counting a personal item as a carryon?

Its Criminal & unEthical & unGodly to prevent Passenger Clients from carrying a tiny bag to secure Passports, Boarding Passes, Identification, Wallet, Cash, Credit Cards, Medicine, Cellphone, Jewelry. If not possible to travel with these items Airlines will go out of business. Any Airline that endangers Passengers with such hazardous Harassment should be abandoned for more caring businesses.
